Mitsuko Uchida is one of the world’s foremost pianists, who is renowned for her interpretations of composers including Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and Schumann, as well as masterpieces of the 20th Century and beyond.

She has served Marlboro in a vital leadership role for more than 20 years, becoming sole Artistic Director in 2013—the only artist to serve in this position besides co-founder Rudolf Serkin.

Ms. Uchida has served Marlboro also as a senior artist (1974, 1992); as Co-Artistic Director with Richard Goode (1999-2013); and as a member of the Committee for Artistic Direction with Mr. Goode and András Schiff (1994-1999).
