A Spirit of Generosity

The spirit of generosity by participating artists at Marlboro takes many forms. It’s not just giving up paid summer engagements—it’s playing second violin when you’re used to playing first; it’s giving your all to every piece, regardless of whether you selected it; it’s considering new musical ideas and approaches; and it’s setting tables and cleaning up at mealtimes.

But that’s what happens each summer at Marlboro and everyone feels enriched for doing so.

This spirit of generosity extends to audiences, friends and foundations whose financial support demonstrates their understanding and appreciation of what Marlboro has accomplished and the unique learning opportunities it continues to provide to today’s most talented young professional musicians.

That generosity also comes in many forms—all tax-deductible. Annual Fund and Endowment gifts sustain Marlboro’s special qualities—its unique community, focus on intensive learning, and national touring program. Planned gifts also help to assure Marlboro’s future and perpetuate donors’ appreciation for all that this institution has meant to them and to the world of music.

Your support of Marlboro can be made in the form of cash gifts or appreciated securities, endowment support, planned gifts (which provide donors with annual income and tax benefits) and bequests. Explore this section for more information on the Annual Fund Drive, Endowment Funds, and Planned Gifts/Bequests. We would be delighted to hear from you and to answer any questions you may have, and we thank you for your role in sustaining Marlboro Music.
