Tour Group One: October 4 – 11, 2015
The first east coast tour of the season offers a program with a wonderful mix of unique chamber works typical of Musicians from Marlboro tours. This wonderful program features Earl Kim’s (1982 Marlboro Music Composer in Residence) impressionistic “Three poems in French” for soprano & string quartet as well as Fauré’s Piano Quartet in C Minor, Op. 15 and Mozart’s String Quintet in E-Flat, K. 614.

Tour Group Two : January 17 – 24, 2016
Built around Krzysztof Penderecki’s (2013 Marlboro Music Composer in Residence) brilliant Quartet for Clarinet and String Trio, this program also includes Beethoven’s String Trio in C Minor, Op. 9 and Brahms’s Clarinet Quintet in B Minor, Op. 115.

Tour Group Three (National Tour): March 30 – April 17, 2016
After an incredibly successful East Coast tour one reviewer wrote that this group, “brought youthful vitality to their work,” and was, “so locked together that they sounded like an ensemble that had been playing together for several seasons.” This wonderful program is built around the 20th century masterpiece, the Lyric Suite by Berg which received a stunning performance in the summer of 2012, and also includes one of Haydn’s brilliant string quartets and Dvořák’s Piano Quintet in A Major.

Tour Group Four: May 1 – 8, 2016
The final program of the season begins with Haydn’s String Quartet in F Major, Op. 77, No. 2 followed by Kaija Saariaho’s (2014 Marlboro Music Composer in Residence) haunting string quartet Terra Memoria, and Schumann’s Piano Trio in D Minor, Op. 63
