A Haven for Deep Creative Work & Collaboration
Now in its second season, Marlboro’s artist residency program brings exceptional emerging chamber music ensembles to the Marlboro campus throughout the year for deep creative work and concert offerings. Each group is in residence for 1 to 3 weeks, enjoying concentrated time together in a retreat-like environment where they can rehearse new programming, prepare for recording projects, develop community engagement programming, and more. Every ensemble in residence includes at least one Marlboro Music artist.
Each residency culminates with a free informal concert or event, in which the ensembles share the results of their work with our local community. All concerts take place on the Marlboro campus (2582 South Rd, Marlboro, VT) in Ragle Hall (in the Serkin Center for the Arts) unless otherwise indicated.
Admission to the community concerts is free, and all are welcome. Reservations are required and open approximately four weeks before each event. Seating is general admission (first come, first served). We hope you can join us!

“Spending time together as an ensemble where the sole focus is creative exploration is a rare experience in a busy professional life. Being able to do so with an incredibly devoted staff and in such an inspiring environment is truly a gift.”
