Artist Residency Series

Marlboro Music’s artist residency program brings exceptional emerging chamber music ensembles to our Vermont campus throughout the year for deep creative work and concert offerings. Each residency culminates with a free informal performance, in which the ensembles share the results of their work with our community. Reservations are required and open approximately four weeks before each event. Seating is general admission. We hope you can join us!

Musicians from Marlboro: 2026/27 Season

Musicians from Marlboro concert series are held each year in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Greenwich, CT, and Brattleboro, VT, with individual performances in other North American cities. Each of the three annual tours spotlights exceptional young professional musicians, together with seasoned artists, in varied chamber-music programs that are built around a work performed in a previous summer that Co-Artistic Directors Mitsuko Uchida and Jonathan Biss and their colleagues felt was exceptional and should be shared with a wider audience.

Follow the links below to explore individual concert dates, venues, artists, and repertoire for each tour.

  • Group One: Oct/Nov 2026

The season’s first touring program spotlights music by two former Marlboro composers in residence, Brett Dean and Kaija Saariaho, and Mozart’s beloved Clarinet Quintet, performed by senior violinist Alex Redington, clarinetist Jonathan Leibovitz, and three outstanding emerging string players.
