Celebrate the centenary of renowned Hungarian composer György Kurtág with this kaleidoscopic program of music and film. Kurtág’s setting of naturalist Georg Christoph Lichtenberg’s aphorisms weaves together 22 unique musical worlds exploring themes of nature, religion and colonialism, all brought to life with an accompanying animated film by composer and animator Lembit Beecher. Additional works trace Kurtág’s influences and impact.
