FOURTH PUBLIC CONCERT

For forty-six years Felix Galimir was a beloved member of the Marlboro Family who shared his artistry, passion and wit with generations of young musicians who hold him among their most important mentors. We are pleased tonight to present a world premiere by Leon Kirchner, a valued member or our community since 1959, dedicated with deep affection and gratitude to the memory of Felix Galimir. We express our sincere thanks to members of Felix’s family – Judith and Richard Hurtig and Viola and Richard Morse – for commissioning this piece. It is a wonderful way to celebrate Felix and perpetuate his lifelong commitment to new music.
