Isidore Cohen, violin

The first of 16 tours was in our second season of 1966-67

I did one or two tours with a pianist, Murray Perahia, and I got along beautifully with him…I learned a great deal from Murray, he was somebody who stimulated me musically, and I probably contributed a little something to him.

I think he [Serkin] thought it was a good idea in terms of letting a wider public know about what’s going on, presenting the music the way Marlboro did it. So he must have thought it was good for that reason, as well as for the experience of those who did it.
